School Drop In

I was just popping in for a meeting with Mrs Broad at St. Peter’s CE Primary in Budleigh Salterton last week when a staffing emergency cropped up, and I found myself leading an impromptu singing session with a class of nursery children aged 3 and 4.  What a delight!  Some absolutely amazing singing from the little ones, who were exceptionally welcoming and joined in with tremendous enthusiasm.  We sang about bears, what we like to do, and enjoyed lots of funny faces and actions to some of our songs too.

Eventually Mrs Broad and I managed our meeting, and we now have many plans afoot for early years music in September… Watch this space!

New Venue

We are delighted to be bringing classes back to East London from September.  Emma will be providing baby and toddler sessions at Prospect Hall in Woodford Green on Tuesday mornings.  A fantastic venue, and hopefully one which some of our previous Woodford babies and toddlers can get along to easily.

Wave Intergenerational Cafe

Delighted to be working alongside Julia and James Henley to support them with their intergenerational cafe.  A fantastic facility for the local community in East Devon.  I will be taking along a selection of instruments and facilitating musical free play with some of the families who drop in for coffee and cakes.  I’ll also be doing some singing with the young at heart visitors.  Looking forward to integrating and seeing what we can create musically.

Music For Baby comes to North Weald

Coming Soon IdentWe are soooo excited to announce that Emma Corrigan is going to be starting up Music For Baby Classes in North Weald in the Autumn Term. Emma is an amazing singer with a West End background, and we are delighted to have her on board!!

Karen and Emma first met musically back in 2000, and then lost touch until a chance encounter in a supermarket in 2008 when Emma had just had her first baby and Karen was pregnant with her first.   They stayed in touch and then by chance Karen began running Music For Baby Classes in the same venue Emma worked at in Loughton and the relationship grew.

Emma has been a fan of Music For Baby Classes ever since, bringing her daughter to groups for years, and her son is a fabulous helper when he comes to special events and activities!  We think Emma is going to make an amazing group leader, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Music For Baby family xxx

Mike also does a small amount of guitar teaching from our Home Studio in Loughton.  He is offering some summer courses for anyone who wants to begin or boost their guitar playing.  visit his website for more info – www.MikeEaves.co.uk
